Drivers initiate their day by reconciling items before departing from the depot, assuring that they are equipped with everything necessary for their deliveries. Upon arrival at each stop, they have the ability to scan items on and off their vehicle, confirming that customers receive precisely what is expected while avoiding any discrepancies. In instances where an item is damaged or refused, drivers can document the reason and capture photographic evidence. After completing each delivery, customers have the opportunity to verify all received items and provide a signature, which serves to validate the driver’s activities.

Moreover, Descartes Mobile offers customization options at nearly any juncture within the application, facilitating the collection of data that is specific to individual organizations. This can include metrics such as load quality assessments, surveys, or re-ordering requests.

While supporting the driver’s daily routine, Descartes Mobile simultaneously communicates with Descartes servers, enabling operational staff and customer service representatives to gain real-time insights into the status of drivers and their deliveries.
